Madurai Startup Thozhuvam to Showcase Pastoral Bio-Economy Research at IIT Madras Climafix Summit

Madurai’s Thozhuvam invited to Climafix Summit 2025 to present climate & bio-economy research; highlights rise of regional green innovation.

Thozhuvam, a Madurai-based green economy company, has been invited to present its research on pastoral bio-economy and decarbonisation at the Climafix Summit 2025, to be held on September 11-12 at IIT Madras Research Park. Alongside Dr. P. Kabilan from Madurai, the team will share findings exploring how traditional pastoral practices contribute to climate change mitigation.

The summit gathers over 400 startups, 250 corporates, and 150 investors to focus on bio-solutions and energy efficiency. The participation of entities like Thozhuvam spotlights growing interest from smaller regional players in climate research and sustainability.

Mr. Kabilan noted that science and startup culture are merging in Madurai, enabling research labs and enterprises to contribute meaningfully to national efforts. He added that exposure at such summits helps in building networks, accessing funding, and translating regional innovation into scalable solutions.
