Madurai Commemorates World Tourism Day with Cultural Festivities

Madurai came alive today with vibrant celebrations to mark World Tourism Day 2025, reflecting the city’s enduring cultural and historical legacy. Organized jointly by the Tamil Nadu Tourism Department and Madurai Corporation, the day-long festivities drew a diverse crowd of locals, students, and international visitors.
The celebrations began early in the morning with a Heritage Walk starting from the Meenakshi Amman Temple and passing through the historic streets of Chithirai, Pudumandapam, and Vilakkuthoon.
