Singa Pengalin Singa Padhai: Women’s Safety Awareness Walk to Be Held in Madurai.

A public awareness walk aimed at promoting women’s safety and encouraging collective action is set to take place in Madurai on August 30.

Titled “Singa Pengalin Singa Padhai – Make a Step for Change,” the event will begin at 6 a.m. at Teppakulam Ground. The initiative seeks to bring people together to highlight the importance of creating safer public spaces and building a society where women can move freely and confidently.

The organisers are encouraging residents, particularly women and young people, to participate in the walk and show their support for the cause. The campaign carries the message of taking meaningful steps today towards a safer environment for future generations.

Actor and politician Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) – Madurai South MLA – Mr.Gopison has been announced as the chief guest for the event.

The programme is being supported by several businesses and organisations in Madurai, including Annai Bharath, Rajmahal Jewellery, Poonguzhali Jewellers, The Chennai Mobiles, GRT Jewellers, Bharathi Infinity Hospital, Sachein 360 and Valery Stores.

The organisers have invited members of the public to register and participate in the awareness walk. The event is expected to serve as a platform for spreading awareness about women’s safety while encouraging the community to play an active role in creating a more secure and supportive society.

The initiative, carrying the message “Walk today for a safer tomorrow,” is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, at Teppakulam Ground in Madurai.
