Madurai Police to Auction 317 Seized Vehicles

The Madurai city police has announced an auction for 317 vehicles that have been seized but remain unclaimed by their owners. The auction is scheduled on April 25, 2025.

According to an official statement, the vehicles include 305 two-wheelers, 11 three-wheelers, and 1 four-wheeler. These vehicles have been nationalized and are currently housed at the Armed Reserve Ground.

The reserve price for the vehicles, in their current condition, has already been set.

Interested buyers can submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on April 23, 2025. The required deposit is ₹2,000 for two-wheelers and ₹5,000 for other vehicles, payable in cash. Individuals who pay the EMD will be eligible to participate in the auction process, which will be managed by the auction committee.

Bidders who are successful in the auction must pay the final bid amount, in addition to applicable GST charges. Vehicle inspection is available from April 22 to April 24, 2025.
