Israeli airstrikes on Sanaa, Yemen, have reportedly killed Iran-backed Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, along with several senior officials. The strikes targeted key military sites, including the presidential palace, and were launched in retaliation for ongoing Houthi drone and missile attacks against Israel.

Local sources confirmed at least 10 fatalities and 90 injuries. Among those feared dead are Defence Minister Mohamed al-Atifi and Chief of Staff Muhammad Abd Al-Karim al-Ghamari, who were allegedly attending a cabinet meeting outside the capital.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated, “Whoever raises a hand against Israel — his hand will be cut off,” signaling a firm stance against further Houthi aggression. The Houthis, aligned with Iran’s Axis of Resistance, have intensified attacks since the Gaza conflict began, targeting Israeli territory and Red Sea shipping routes.
